Dear Peacemakers,
With over 6,300 members and 74 Affiliate organizations, groups, and practice centers throughout the world, Zen Peacemakers continues to grow. We are deeply grateful for the dedication, presence, and care you bring to this community.
This is the legacy Bernie Glassman entrusted to the Zen Peacemakers community: a life and practice rooted in not-knowing, bearing witness, and taking action.
This year, we sat together in places marked by difficult histories, created spaces for honest conversation and connection, and offered programs and trainings that make this work available to people around the world. Peacemakers from all walks of life continue to embody the teachings in ways that are both deeply rooted and continually evolving.
What we create together carries forward in ways we may never see: into homes and relationships, into communities and workplaces, and into the places where compassion, presence, and connection are needed.

From upcoming Peacemaker Circles with Bill Porter/Red Pine, Joan Halifax, and Jeff Bridges, to our annual retreat in Auschwitz-Birkenau this November, there are many more opportunities in the coming months to come together, bear witness, deepen our connections, and carry peacemaking further in the world.
Your generosity ensures that our programs and trainings remain free and accessible to everyone and enables us to offer scholarships for bearing witness retreats, bringing people together to learn, grow, and embody compassion throughout the world. Highlights in 2026
The Zen Peacemaker community continues to grow, with over 6,300 members and more than 12,000 newsletter subscribers
Our Affiliate Network now includes 74 organizations, groups, and practice centers around the world
The Native American Bearing Witness Retreat was at capacity this year with over 40 participants and our Lakota hosts camping together in deep relationship with Lakota horse culture, with the land in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and with one another.
